CAROLINE RETURNS TO HER ROOTS
With a team of close friends to introduce trad climbing on the island.
Together they make their first ascent of the Zembrocal Wall.
THE EXPEDITION TEAM
Caroline was born in Toulouse but grew up on the island of La Reunion. She left the colourful island of La Réunion to explore the climbing world. Now, she returned to her roots, accompanied by a group of friends to rediscover the island and to introduce trad climbing to her old world.
LA REUNION ISLAND
One of the outermost region of the European Union.
The island’s population is highly multicultural but no particular community has formed it’s own enclave.
Réunion’s population today is a natural mixed race, bearing
witness to the island’s history.
The expedition took place between
the 26th of May and the 24th of June 2013.
During these days the team encountered:
16°C TO 26°C
